Many portable devices such as laptops, PDA's, Tablet PC's and Netbooks are being used with SSDs. Although prices are still astronomically high - a 1TB SSD setting you back a mere £3000 - sooner or later the prices will fall into a more accessible range and they will become far more widely used.
